If you have created an Instagram block on your Squarespace website, you might notice that it’s not always up-to-date with your latest posts.

(Note: Instagram blocks don't support or display Reels, IGTV posts, or shared posts.)

According to Squarespace, Instagram blocks should update every 30 minutes or so. This would be the reason new posts may not appear immediately. If your Instagram feed is still not updating on your website, you may need to reset your Instagram account data to update it.

First, you need to make sure you are logged into the Instagram account that you are connecting to your Instagram block. If you are logged into another Instagram account, you will connect to that account!

Now, to update your Instagram block…..

From your Home menu go to Settings / Connected Accounts.

▪︎ Click on your Instagram account.

Occasionally there is a red “unauthorized” error message. If that is the case for you, simply click the link to reauthenticate your account and then click to Continue.

▪︎ From the pop up window for your Instagram Settings, choose Reset.

Sometimes this is all you need to do to reset or update your feed. If this doesn’t work, follow the next step as well.

▪︎ You may also need to edit your Instagram block in your footer or on your page to refresh your feed. In EDIT mode, double click on your Instagram block to make sure that your Instagram account is connected to your account.

▪︎ Then Done / Save.

Your Instagram block should now be updated on your site to match the latest image and/or video squares on your feed. Be sure to check your site every so often to make sure your Instagram block is up-to-date.
