Easy Squarespace shortcuts to edit your website like a pro

So you know how to edit your Squarespace website. Now let’s elevate your skills and use some keyboard shortcuts to make editing just a little easier and save you some time. You can totally rock those edits with these quick tricks!

Here are my favorite Squarespace* shortcuts for common tasks while editing a site:

NOTE: Use command ⌘ for Mac and Ctrl for Windows.

▪︎ Press ⌘ + A or Ctrl + A to select everything (or to select all text within a text block)

▪︎ Press ⌘ + D or Ctrl + D to duplicate a content block

▪︎ Press ⌘ + Z or Ctrl + Z to undo

▪︎ To delete a block, simply select the block and hit the Delete key

▪︎ Press ESC to open or close the full site/screen preview
(To preview a page in full screen, use the arrow in the top right corner.)

▪︎ Double-click thearrow on the menu to return to the Home menu

▪︎ Press / (forward slash key) to access the search field and quickly find menu items or settings
You can also quickly search for items from the main menu search icon.

▪︎ To quickly add a text link, select the text, then press ⌘ + K or Ctrl + K to open up the link editor

▪︎ To quickly bold, italicize, or underline text, select the text, then press ⌘ + B or Ctrl + B for bold, ⌘ + I or Ctrl + I for italic, ⌘ + U or Ctrl + U for underline


For more shortcuts only in Fluid Engine editor:

▪︎ Press G to turn on or off the background grid

▪︎ Press ⌘ + D or Ctrl + D to duplicate a content block

▪︎ To move a block up or down, simply use the up or down arrow key

▪︎ To move a block forward or backward, press Shift + up or down arrow key

▪︎ To select more than one block, select each block while holding down the Shift key



Now you’ve elevated your Squarespace editing skills, saving valuable time and boosting your productivity! You ARE a Squarespace pro!
